MMORTS, your resources / troops are based on the real (our) time passed. So e.g. you need to wait for a few hours to have more resources, etc.

One piece of advice: always look for caring & strong allies and alliances. Otherwise your villages/towns can be robbed, torn from you. ;-)
With appropriate friends however, you can have fun & stay afloat.
