Earth and the core worlds are suffering. Overpopulation and lack of resources are leading to unrest and desperation. That's where you come in. You've been recruited to colonize a planet more than 4 light years away. It's your job to save the human race from its own greed and consumption. The game is experienced from a top-down view allowing for the deliberate and creative crafting of every item, vehicle, and structure in use. Using a scriptable and dynamic artificial intelligence the AI Overlord will change up every aspect of the game. Nothing stays the same forever, making Worlds an addictively, dynamic experience with limitless replayability.

Art and Game-play

Lately we have pushed on some art because Larry has gotten the urge to draw a lot. He wanted to put together a better showcase for the map transitions so he did. Here is a time-lapse of his art assets he put together to show that we can transition quickly to a different map. It is a cave and a cave entrance.

The art was needed to then put together an actual map transition that did not look completely like just moving the position of the character and made visual sense. So here is another video that shows the transition taking place using the artistic assets from the video above.

Thank you for showing interest in Violent Sol Worlds. We can use your support in the form of a vote for indie of the year, and a yes vote on Steam Greenlight. Also watch our game here on IndieDB to keep informed about major news.
