For the issues relating to Alt-F4, I thought it was normal (except for the crashing bit) that information isn't saved since you're closing the game without actually committing the changes.

Is this behavior different from what I picture? Since the reticle indicates the point of impact, it would hide past the HUD border if you're not properly oriented or fast enough. At least, I remember this was something every game did.

Yes, it is exactly what you have in mind.

These issues are the entire list submitted from the QA team.
Something to keep in mind is that this QA team is more used to 4X games, so you can notice there are some “issues” that are gameplay elements that we already take for granted.

Would be a different story if it's actually resets the keybinding back to the initial/default state however.

Ace Combat had the reticule always on-screen except when it was impossible to deploy the bomb. Then again, I guess the games' bomb system was weird in that your pylons inexplicably lobbed bombs straight forward like they were cricket bowlers. Though in saying that, shouldn't the physics of the action result in the bombs retaining some form of forward velocity as they were dropped, so your reticule wouldn't snoop around off-screen?

Unless you were somehow at a velocity of zero, sure. I don't mean to say it as if bombs go straight down after being deployed, but just from what I remember (if not from Ace Combat, then from other games I haven't played for years), you could be moving slow enough or pointed high enough that the reticle is hidden.

Has the issue with typing messages and stuff in-game (in Multiplayer and the Editors) been fixed? That is, you can't type spaces, and typing has to be done really really slowly otherwise the game won't register keystrokes.

Know that I think about it, you're right. In VT however, the reticule moves off the screen even if you're flying level, which it doesn't do in Ace Combat.

The 'Use View Coords' in Mission Editor for Destroyers (possibly others) are broken and end up inside the tab so you can't click them.

It is possible, I haven´t checked this issue

About bomb dropping one solution could be when you hold "change target" the camera will look to where the bomb will land.

but I noticed there is a real issue that the reticule is not accurate when flying at low level.
but in other hand it is possible to make a Over-the-shoulder delivery

Can´t type spaces? have you checked the latest version? because I believe I´ve fixed that ages ago.

Back on topic: I thought I would point out some issues I've come across in the V0.9098+MP build. First thing I noticed was this:

  • The MiG-21I/1 challenge, every time I click on it and load the challenge it drops to Windows and throws up an error code. I1196.photobucket.com
  • Apparently I already completed two campaigns twice. But I think its a glitch due to the chain of numbers and the e+. I1196.photobucket.com
  • Theres a few other glitches like the A.I. flying through the lip of the nuke crater and certain hills.
  • Some times the music just stops as well and only comes back on if I change the master volume gauge (speaking of which could the dals be increased in size some time?) I don't know how t happens but if it does again I'll save the log for yeah.

TimeS sent me the the last tester key so I could do a quick independent review on the game and my thoughts on changes from the Desura Build to the Steam Build. So far I'm really liking the changes you guys have done (especially the soundtrack). I'm still in the process of writing up the review in my free time after work. Suprise Party Mission in RB Campaign's carrier reinforcements hilariously self-destruct upon arrival leaving only two P-48s and a Destroyer to help out. In addition the lead P-48 is floating.

On the note of campaign we should probably give the Mirage F-1 and Su-25 some placeholder SP weapons.

Well nothing major TimeS. But something I noticed when I was playing around in multiplayer.

  • Description: During a multiplayer match Vector Thrust (or maybe Steamworks) transcribes my SteamID incorrectly. The letter w is shown as an x on the target box (see screenshot).
  • Affects Version/s: 0.9099+MP
  • Game modes: Multiplayer
  • Steps to reproduce: Via having a w in your SteamID.
