Unreal Tournament 2003 Map Pack.
Well you just downloaded the THC Map Pack, i guess, and you want to know whats in. Haha!
The THC map pack contains 3 maps, a small, a medium and a big one. All of them are CTF maps.
Put the ogg files in the music folder, and the maps in the maps folder (dOh)
The smallest of the threesome is CTF-TrainingComplex, nothing wOOtabulous but a small
fun map with agreeable visuals, in the shape of an colorful high voltage lab.
Its often played on the THC server. We use to play this with 1 player and 1 bot
on a team (total of 4 players).
The medium map is CTF-RawForce, i consider it a better one, for about 6-12 players.
Its situated in some sort of artic base at night, (think Flux).
The accent in this map are the big guns (RL, Flak etc), it has an inside and an outside
area, and it is guaranteed to deliver a lot of fun. I thought the visuals are kind of neat.
Also a common sight on the THC server.
The big one is CTF-TheAtoll, previously released on NaliCity. This is a big terrain map for
10-16 players. The teamplay is the accent in here, the map is desinged to make solo actions
very hard. Some say it is better with instagib, but i think normal weapons are better. The
rain has caused some people to dislike it, you can turn it off via
settings-> worlddetail to Normal
The online play should be blasting, but we never ended up with enough players for a good game :-(

THC-TrainingComplex and THC-TheAtoll were originally drawn by (THC)kensei, who posted it to me.
The custom musics are not mine, so everyone is allowed to use them. The DartVader theme was
used in Trainingcomplex, and Harry Potter music is used in Rawforce
Maybe ill release more (THC)maps in the future, right now Kensei is drawing one for me...

THC-Trainingcomplex
This map's original desing was made by Tuur Ghys, aka (THC)kensei.
The mapping was done by me, jaap jaspers, (THC)ButItfailed and for you
Nalicity users The_Real_Meneer_Aard. This is my first (pathetic) attempt in
UT2003 mapping, and this map consists of some kind of box with 2 bases.
Dont quit reading, im sure this is the most beautiful box you have ever seen.
The map has 2 bugs, 2 of the ceiling panels are lit wrong. ive tried everything but
they stay this way. Dont come yelling to me that its butt-ugly, i know it is.
maybe you have to learn to cope with it...
also there is some bsp hole in an unreachable place
Try to have fun with it, i did.

CTF-(THC)RawForce
This is my second map. Like every map i make, this map is not intended
to rip or steal from. if you want to use it as a basis or use
it for something else , dont forget to mail me, and credit me plz too.
but dont try to be naughty ;-).

As stated before, this is my second map for ut2003, it was intended to be
an practice in making terrain, but the terrain turned out so well i
decided to make an map around it. the layout is simple, 2 bases at each side
of an ice field. i wish you luck sniping in the snow! (its hard, believe me)
The big mountains at the base entrances are just there for one reason.
the room behind the entance is visible throug the sky (This looks
as weird as it sounds). therefore the mountains. i tried everything else
portals, antiportals, zoning etc, but that big mountain was the
only thing that worked( antiportals didnt seem to work from a long range)
How do i fix this? if you know mail me.
And this is a second version of the same map, with better bot support, an intro
screenshot (finally) and better snow due to the use of an spriteEmitter instead
of an xweathereffect. I know it eats performance, but in a small map like this
it shouldnt be a problem.
And i found out how that material sequece works ;-)

CTF-(THC)TheAtoll
This map is situated at a small volcanic island , and its rather big, easily
fitting up to 16 players. Its mainly a terrain map, i used the november subs, some
Citadel bridges and ruins from the Wasteland pack. I dont think youll need a bonus
pack, since i avoided using those textures. If there are any problems,

One note, dont think youll make it with solo actions. teamplay is essential.
When playing agains players try the forest route, whisch isnt covered by enemy
snipers. Bots dont play reallly good, but they work and theyll capture if you
take them too lightly. Swimming is not advised, because swimmers are sitting
ducks for snipers. I mostly play on a higher brightness level and if you think
the map is too dark (it is dark) then try increasing brightness.
Also dont forget to turn of the rain if you find it annoying. You can turn it off via
settings-> worlddetail to Normal
I credit the ROAR team for the pathnoder mutator, which allowed me to path in
10 minutes or so. any other mappers should check it.

maps for building something else, mail me. If you think you'd make a fortune out
of these maps, mail me (lol). If you think i like ripping, stealing etc, i dont.
