Hey guys and gals,
In this thread I'll try to post answers to any questions regarding the game you might have.

Q: How the hell do you pronounce Ultionus?
A: It's pronounced All-Tea-OWN-Us.

Q: What does Ultionus mean?
A: It's a bastardization of a Latin word Ultionis - Revenge. One letter change was made to make it slightly more pronounceable as well as more "videogame-y"

Q: Aren't you supposed to be working on The Legend of Iya?
A: Yes. I am working my butt off on that project. Ultionus was a "testbed" for LOI that got a life of it's own.

Q: Why such skimpy outfit for Serena S? Don't you care about the children?!
A: Serena S' design is a throwback to the era in media when such design was commonplace - think Tyris Flare in Golden Axe, Alysia Dragoon, Lorna. That aside - the character of Serena is far from sexist. She is strong, independent and approaches all her tasks with manic dedication - be it saving the Universe, or punishing an online bully.

Q: I got an error when I first started the game - what gives?!
A: I am aware of this. Just hit Z as you are prompted, and you will never see this prompt ever again.

Q: Why doesn't the game run on my Windows PC.
A: About 2% of people might experience some sort of an issue with the game. It has something to do with DirectX9 installation, though what exactly I wasn't able to figure out. If you are running Windows8 and are one of the unlucky 2% - hang tight - I am planning to release a dedicated W8 build of the game in the near future.

Got a question, I have run through the game and collected all the items in the game. The weapon upgrades are self explanatory and have visual impacts on the game in terms of gameplay and effect. But the armor upgrades only adjust the character sprite. I cannot see a descernable effect from getting the "reflective cap" the "power bracelets" or even "My Dignity".

Is there an effect to these items? Or are they just to adjust and augement the look and appeal of Serena's Character sprite? They look pretty neat when you get them

I have a problem with the controls.

I can't just shoot the gun without jumping,
is that the way it's supposed to be?
Or is this something only I have?
