The commando in Black Ops is a Colt CAR-15, the Colt Commando is a short barrel CAR-15.

yeah buttstock and barrel tell the difference easily between M16 and M4.
Well if gun model is not considered it is very neat job..... And who the hell uses full size M16 at close quarters instead of carbine size M4 anyway.
