The new perk models are more cartoonish than the rest of the game and still require some glowing effects around them to make them more visual appealing. They now not only spin but bob up and down. The new design clearly shows what the perks will reward you as the player.
Perk for Extra Coins;
Perk for Extra Time;
Perk for Extra Points;
Sorry but IMO they look out of place, I think you can think of something more inline with the ancient Egyptian look/lore.
For the coin, perhaps the Egyptian gold stater, their first gold coin, for the clock, perhaps a sun dial or shadow clock and for the extra points, is harder to think of something but perhaps a Djed? Is not visually pleasing but in ancient Egypt was a symbol of eternal life. Or perhaps the Eye of Horus? If anything looks better.
Just my two cents.
I think your right, they are bit out of place. I like your ideas better, once I've completed the next few planned updates I will re-visit these.
