NovarianWell if you ever are able to make threshold here is some things I'd like to discuss--Enemies!Well in the realm of gaming enemies have come in many different shapes and sizes and even colors. What I believe would make your game great would be the implementation of different things. First being original enemies. Pirated and wolves are so outdated that their cheesy in nature nowadays. What you need is something new--and here is one of my newly dubbed enemies I'd like to call--the Skreets. Now I wouldn't want to spoil the fun and tell people what they are, I just merely wanted to throw something out there. NOW onto the big thing--storyline and gameplay. Gameplay is very important but when I saw Threshold was a 'survival' game. The lights almost instantly went off. You need to move away or at least lean away from 'survival' genre. It's overused and the chances of out-competing a large game company's voxel survival game is largely none. (But there is an exception: 7 Days to Die was funded by Kickstarter so, yeah to small game companies! :D) That's where you come up with something original, thus I propose you lean more towards a campaign, or storyline style of gaming rather than survival. In fact we can even broaden it by doing this. Make different campaigns. For example, In one campaign you wake to find that you have crashed your bi-plane and are now stranded in a strange place inhabited by Skreets and other unearthly monsters. Another campaign could be that your trapped in a mine and you have to use logic to solve puzzles in order to escape ,but time is against you as your oxygen is running out and the only way of knowing that is by your lamp burning out. Now I could rant on and on, but I think I've wet your appetite for now. Discuss more later. Chow! *__*
