CAN YOU SEE IT? In the first game of The Working Parts, a lone frog descends into the depths of a flooded forest, not yet knowing the full extent of its tragedy. To survive in a brutal, oxygen-obsessed ecosystem, you must help it see the patterns and hidden truths that make up the system - horrible as they may be. Kotaku says: "They Breathe is proof that you don't need realistic graphics or complicated gameplay to tell a horrifying story." We're finally making a proper effort to get They Breathe out on the big channels.

Over the past six months of having a published game out there, it's been rare that a week passes without me hearing at least once from people around me or on some blog online, what a great, atmospheric and even innovative little game They Breathe was. This may be difficult for us Working Parts to see sometimes, having spent all that time staring at its code, Photoshop workfiles and design spreadsheets. To all of you who reminded us what They Breathe really is and what effect it can have, thank you!

You gave us the confidence and energy to put some more time into this. Given the love we've been shown, even though our game has basically only been available to a small XBLIG audience, we realized it's crazy not to make it available on every conceivable platform.

Now They Breathe is on its way to GamersGate and Desura, and who knows where it'll go from there! I'm producing a short demo for those portals that demand it (ever designed a demo for a half-hour game? Brevity is of the essence!). We still have work to do. And if you've ever written about They Breathe or talked or tweeted to us about it in person, we are doing it because of you!

Thanks,
Hugo Bille, who designed the game
