English Fan Translation 0.8.3 file - The Settlers: Rise of Cultures

Note. This translation will only work for the German version of Die Siedler - Aufbruch der Kulturen.
The game installed from the 2008 CD won't launch without the 2014 Patch on Windows 10/11.

All German Text has been translated to British English,
using some elements from The Settlers II - 10th Anniversary.

It should also work for the Polish release, but hasn't been tested.
It's incompatible with the Russian version, because it's not using Cyrillic character encoding.

You may ask, why Rise of Cultures, and not Awakening of Cultures nor Tradition Edition.
The German game Aufbruch der Kulturen is the Traditions Edition. This is not a direct title of the game. It's called Traditions Edition because it follows the traditional rulesets of the old Settlers games. It was released between The Settlers VI and VII. VI and VII have their own unique modern style, and cannot be directly compared to Settlers 1-4.
You can compare The Settlers - Rise of Cultures to The Settlers II, because you build roads and flags the exact same way. If your HQ is demolished the game is lost.
You can compare The Settlers - Rise of Cultures to The Settlers III, because you have complete different nations, one of them are the Egyptians who don't use much wood for their economy.
Rise of Cultures is listed on Wikipedia, here on ModDB it's called like this, on Twitch the game has its own category, on Mobygames, etc.

0.8.3 - 27.12.2022 - Removed some bugs, like overflowing names in small text containers.
