This track is an excerpt from The Pioneers : surviving desolation soundtrack, by Johany Berland. This ambient part of the soundtrack is putting in music the most contemplative, quietest part of the game.
To suggest the scifi and spatial atmosphere, we chose to compose with electronic pianos, synthesisers and layers, in a wide, deep and immersive way.
The first challenge was to produce clearly modern music, but including some retro and cinematographic references at the same time. The second one was to bring emotion without being strongly dramatic, stressful or joyful. As a result, this part of the soundtrack is a smooth combination of feelings, between euphoria, distress and hope.
