The Outforce is a traditional top-down RTS game, played across a battlefield situated in space. To simplify the control and strategy system, the player only have to control his units along a two-dimensional battlefield, with only cosmetic variations in depth. The battlefield is scattered with asteroids, gas clouds and spacial debris as well as space stations, trading posts and military bases, which are all part of an interactive environment that can be taken advantage of in the actual game play.

As you probably know, The Outforce contains a lot of filetypes. The most interesting filetype among them are the .box files. They are the main container files. You can extract them with Watto's Game Extractor that you can buy for $10 at Watto.org . This is the best and most powerful tool I ever used. This software has Plugins for reading and writing 2100+ game archives! So you can unpack any .box files with that game extractor. Another important file is the .PackedProject.opf file. It contains pictures (.jpg files), somekind of config files, and model files ( I uploaded the unpacked version PackedProject.opf that you can download from: Moddb.com Unpacked Content.box can be downloaded at: Moddb.com Model files and meshes can be pulled out by Szkaradek123's python script: Moddb.com 3D MODEL files I also found that 3D model files are stored in .CGridMember and .CBaseClass files. Still don't know how to extract them... Edited by: Winters1990 |
