The Last Hero is a pixel action-RPG set in an unknown world. Traversing new lands, your character is developed through dangerous exploration. "The Last Hero" is is not a standard RPG. In comparison, I have gotten rid of some key systems that some would define the role-playing game genre by. Character progression is item based, and these items are mostly gained through exploration. World progression is determined by how well you can stand dangerous monsters, whether that be running away or killing everything you see. Your available skill-set is determined by your class. Your class is determined by the relationships you foster with other NPCs, and the information they are willing to divulge to you in order to advance your martial prowess.
