TEARS is a science fiction first person shooter in which you (Jasper Kohl) and a ship full of marines are sent out to space in order to overlook the terraforming of Venus, to make sure nothing goes wrong. However, the terraforming process is interrupted by a portal opening on the face of Venus, and an alien spacecraft emerging from it. The spacecraft locks on to your ship, and several follow it, travelling towards Earth. You, and two other soldiers who avoided the alien attack and capture of your ship, must stop the invasion before all hell breaks loose, and Earth is nothing but a memory.

I've been developing TEARS for just a few days, and what I've got so far is a build of the game that I have slapped the name "Beta 0.2" on. At this point in the game's development, I'm working on getting some solid A.I. code, and prettying up the game a bit. I expect to have a playable demo of the game done in a few weeks (maybe). What you can expect from the demo is one level that takes place on Earth, in a currently unnamed city, where you, and possibly your two comrades, will have to stop the currently unnamed alien race from taking down a communications tower that is currently the only way of keeping in contact with the rest of Earth. Currently the A.I. is very buggy, but that shouldn't be too hard to sort out. Currently the game can only run in 1280x600 resolution, but I plan on fixing this for the demo. If you are interested in helping out with 3D modelling, mapping, or programming, and preferably have at least a little experience working with Unity 3D, then contact me at seangrocks@gmx.com. I would really appreciate some help!
