Simple, I edited the very strong ambient lighting levels inspired by dreamvirtual on nexusmods, to get more darker shadows and less flat looking environments, to enhance that Doom 3/idtech4 vibe of the game. Also at the same time reduced bloom and no more lens dirt mask with every bloom effect.
Mod basically inspired by the work of dreamvirtual on Nexusmods, who made their pitch-black ambient lighting version

I took the same concept, but instead kept the same ambient lighting colors of vanilla, but just made darker versions of them (halved the numbers, and combined some other stuff, like if you use bloom, it disables the awful lens dirt effect that it forces and the strength of bloom from 1.0 to 0.1, also overall tones down indirect lighting strength.
Used UAssetGUI and basic UnrealPak files with bat files to pak/unpack the UE4 pak files, edited files are:
\SystemShock\Content\Blueprints\Game\DT_LevelAtmosphere.uasset/uexp
\SystemShock\Content\Blueprints\Utility\LevelAtmosphere.uasset/uexp
*****************************
Place the SystemShock-Windows_AlmostBlackAmbientLight_P.pak file inside the Paks folder
path to game \System Shock Remake\SystemShock\Content\Paks
Readme file included in the zip file has optional Engine ini lines to make sure game uses all dynamic shadow tech available in UE4 and SSGI and some other streaming/CPU utilization tweaks.
