It 's been a while that I wanted to tell you about my new project but I waited and waited to give you some good stuff. All is not as well as I want but hey... I still want to show you something.
In 2013, I started developing "Stoorm".
A skill and puzzle game. Although the reflex is your main asset to overcome 200 levels (number not yet finally settled), you will sometimes need to take back your breath, and a minimal analyze of the map, to escape without dying too often. The purpose of the game is to move your cube through the rooms to finally leave the complex or... you 'll see.
Of course, enemies will complicate the task and clones will become bulky.
From the beginning, I wanted "Stoorm" as a fun and accessible game for all. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or novice, the levels are built to be informative and fun for everyone.
In terms of design, I really searched because, well... I'm first a designer instead of a developer.
After gigas of tests, I chose a minimalist environment, with more intense colors than my first flatter version. I also reduced the background to make it more neutral and focus a maximum attention on the room.
OLD ROOM vs NEW ROOM
The path is often simple, because the player is guided and no alternate path is then available. However, I also customized this feature on some levels to avoid the monotony of a room after another.
Between two levels, I also added some bonus levels where the game play is also adapted.
I plan to release the game before the end of February 2014. It will be released probably in two versions.
