Star Wars: The Old Republic, abbreviated TOR, is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game set in the Old Republic era, and is currently under development by BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts. The game was first officially announced in an October 30, 2007 press release, though details were vague. On October 21, 2008, the title of the game was revealed, in addition to a fair amount of detail about the game in a press conference. A novel, released around the same time as the game, will cover the story behind it.
The space combat in The Old Republic will be similiar to a rail shooter But even though there is many people who dont like that genre (me among them) I don't think they'll gonna hate this, and thats becouse this rail shooter looks like its gonna be the best that is ever made.
