Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wars, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Attention to detail and scale make this game a joy to behold, with 16 incredible new battlefronts such as Utapau, Mustafar and the space above Coruscant, as well as the Death Star interior and Tantive IV, Princess Leia's blockade runner seen at the beginning of the original Star Wars.
A port of General Grievous for Battlefront II from Elite Squadron DS. Less than 500 tris and doesn't look too shabby, perfect for all your low-poly Grievous needs.
The texture looks a bit low-res (which is not surprising for a model from a PSP game), but there's something interesting about this model. Thanks a lot for this conversion!
Also, if you don't mind me asking (the visibly lower-res textures of the map made me think about it), are you making some sort of a low-end-PC-friendly mod for SWBF2? :D
Thanks, it's actually from the DS port of Elite Squadron, so even lower detail than the PSP.
Nice catch, that is something I've been working on on-and-off.
Oh right, you even mentioned the fact that it's from the DS version in the description and yet I missed that information. Still, this simplified version looks pretty cool. And about that mod, I'll definitely check it out if you end up releasing it (for some reason I feel like it might look entertaining in a way, plus, that might be a good way to get a few extra fps) :D
I actually thought that'd be a great as a sort of low-res, moddable demo. I was going to make my demo shell a whole package but remove movies, campaign, etc -- make it a portable modder's asset. Wasn't sure if that would fly though. I like the idea of simplified assets though. It'd be great to play this on some of my more experimental devices, like Chromebooks turned Windows laptops
Exactly, it would be great to have a more extremely optimized version for those types of devices. Also good for a lightweight modding setup.
