Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wars, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Attention to detail and scale make this game a joy to behold, with 16 incredible new battlefronts such as Utapau, Mustafar and the space above Coruscant, as well as the Death Star interior and Tantive IV, Princess Leia's blockade runner seen at the beginning of the original Star Wars.
My final side mod collection consisting of modded sides for all four factions in the game. My last submission. Part 1 of 2.
First and foremost…..MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR ORIGINAL LVL FILES!!! THIS MOD REPLACES THE ORIGINALS.
These are the changes made to the stock side mods. There ARE some exceptions.
The variant packs will however have mixed loadouts tailored to each custom class.

Blaster Carbines have a noticeably faster firing rate yet do less damage, while the rifles have the standard firing rates along with more power behind each shot. The primary exception is the E-11 “Rifle” that does slightly more damage than the standard carbines yet has some slight recoil. Both blaster types have award weapons available, and will NOT replace the standard weapon. In other words; Award rifles and carbines will be added to the loadout once earned since some people favor the standard weapons over the 3-round burst award weapons and vice versa. The Chaingun firing rate has been dialed back to make the weapon less broken, but remains a fearsome weapon. Sniper rifles have reticles that can be used without the zoom function. The CIS Sniper rifle is now rapid fire albeit less power; though prolonged fire WILL greatly decrease accuracy. The disguise kit can fool enemies, but any aggressive movements or getting too close to foes will blow your cover; and you CANNOT capture command posts with it active. Each rifleman class has a bacta injector (save for the SBD), courtesy of Syth. The DC-15S Advanced Carbine, E11D, and Boba Fett’s EE-3 are similar to the award carbines, but have less time between bursts, however: they WILL go off target under sustained fire.
Bear in mind that your foes also have these weapons, so you’ll need to pay extra attention to them on the field.
All fighters and ships have cockpits added. The ARC-170 now has the correct 3 cockpits and the V-Wing is also corrected to be the standard fighter for the Republic.
BE SURE TO BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILES FIRST!!!
Unpack the side mod and replace the original " lvl" and shell files located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\data\_lvl_pc\side
with the files in this pack.
These side mods break online compatibility. So be sure to have the original sides ready for online play …Though I hope these would create a new standard. The stock sides are meant to be used (and abused) with Commander Awesome’s ingame skin changer for maximum enjoyment. However the variant sides are limited in their compatibility with some character models. The Republic clone commander unit in the stock side, and trooper variant side Type 1 have the “New Commander” skin kama glitch corrected; so now the option will allow a visible Kama to be used with the ep3 commander model instead of the black silhouette.
I can imagine that SOME people will forget the above warnings so I’ve added the original lvl files for added precaution. Those will be in the Part 2.
