This is the final version of my map "Malachor: Ruins". Everything has been reworked, the map is now much more polished.
Pretty excited to share what I have been doing during quarantine. This is the final version (v2.0) of my map Malachor: Ruins.
For those of you who played the beta from last september, the map will feel different. A lot has been improved/polished; the pyramid, the textures, the gameplay, the AI, pretty much everything but the basic layout design. I also gave special attention to the lighting to get the best result possible.
You will find no vehicles or custom assets/skins. It is a small/medium map, to the likes of Coruscant or Mustafar.
However, if there is an interest, I will share the map's source files for anyone to add modes and eras.

I would also like to thank everyone who played the Beta, I read all the feedback/comments and it means a lot!
Also, fair warning, I changed the settings for the AI difficulty. Normal is now equivalent to a harder Elite. And Elite is now ... 'super Elite'? ;)

How to install:
Extract the .rar file and place the MLC folder in:
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon
If the 'addon' folder is not there yet, create it.
That's it, now you can play the map! "Malachor: Ruins" will show up in light red in your map's list.

- Lightsabers sounds and wind are not working for the galactic civil war era.
- Most of the 3D models of the map were designed by myself, but I took great inspiration from art and concepts done by others.

I have played the beta and must say this is one of the best visual maps I've played, good work! I would be very interested in the source files to make Vader and Ahsoka the heroes for the gcw era^^
This is absolutely stunning, and has some really solid gameplay to boot. It's really a joy to play, and it's solid proof that maps don't need lots of gimmicks like custom sides to be great.
I'd love to see the source files released. I seriously want to port this over to my Xbox mod.

Very, very fine looking map. Plays dynamically, looks gorgeous, fits with the feel of the game and you just KNOW that it's Malachor when you're playing it. Well done, 10/10
Beautiful map and a very fascinating world. Only change I'd like to see is an expanded interior for the Sith Temple, be it an additional room underground or a command post higher within the temple accessed by a stairway within some sort of meditation chamber.
Apathy is death, and this map makes me feel alive.

The only missing are the creepy statues of the fallen Jedi and Sith.
very cool map with high detail world and troopers, only negative is my game crashes when I use jetpack on the imperial troop.
