Blade of Darkness holds true to the greatest of hack and slash legends, combining sorcery, knights, and swords with god forsaken enemies that deserve to have their arms slashed off with a broadsward. Blade of Darkness looked excellent in 2001, and still delivers its gore well today. Holding True to it's genre it offers modders both custom maps and scripts. Thankyou !

Just getting all the latest texture packs downloaded ,should be fun seeing if they play well :)
I have 16gb memory now + an AMD 4gb rx560 card so i'm hopeful it should be ok.
I also have a new build pc with an Nvidia 1660 super card.
I haven't switched to the new pc yet as my current pc has been working ok for what i use it for atmo.
Is Nvidia or Amd better for this or it does it really matter?

About the matter, "Is Nvidia or Amd better for this or it does it really matter?": It depends on the hardware, if it is compatible with the software.
On the computers I've had, I've only had ATI graphic card, and the BoD game only worked well on the old Windows XP operating system. With a more modern hardware of the ATI brand, in a more modern operating system like Windows 7 or Windows 10: The game BoD is destabilized, it gets too slow or fast and I can't play well. In addition, I cannot test the graphic improvements such as Reshade or the "Blade of Light" Mod, which need DirectX 11 or DirectX 12.
Other people who have Nvidia graphics hardware tell me: the BoD game works better with Nvidia graphics cards, than with ATI graphics cards. So I'm going to try this graphics card, "NVIDIA Gtx 750ti 2GB", which apparently works well in the BoD game, while using Windows 7 or Windows 10.
Greetings and thanks. :)

Thanks for the info ,Reshade can be hard to get working sometimes.
It's ok with some games but others will crash.

I like my AMD card with G4560 cpu,it's usually good with pc games.
I will try on the nividia card with new AMD cpu and see what it's like.

@MBK_MBK Yes, the GTX 750ti should work fine. I've been using that one for years and BoD ran flawlessly with it using Windows 7. I don't know about Windows 10 however, since I upgraded at the same time I also upgraded my graphics card to a new Radeon 5700XT. OpenGL doesn't work with this one, I need r3dfx voodoo 1-2 in order to have a smooth gameplay.
To be honest, I'm surprised and relieved I got it to work in all my modern computers. Favourite game.

I forgot to say: using HD textures, the BoD game crashed due to "low memory limits of the game engine", or I am not sure. I only can use the HD tectures, with "rOpenGL" graphic mode.
Greetings.

Yeh ,some of these old games do have their limits.
You can't do everything you'd like due to old game engine.

Anyway ,thanks.
