Pandora II is a patrol destroyer derived from the original Pandora (image: Moddb.com ). It's a rugged, reliable design developed for long patrol trips, guard missions and hunting down smaller enemy vessels.
pretty awesome :)
Indeed it is! I've explored it, and while it seems like a total maze to me, there's clearly method to the madness. Everything is carefully designed, from heat pipes to armored radiators.
Now, those large radiators give me an idea - could a radiator and heat pipes be made to work in reverse by heating it with a laser at a relatively low setting? Would making a radiator really hot cause it to pump heat back through the graphene pipes and into the ship?
The ship is not fully furnished yet, I am waiting for full multiblock support to be added. Without it, there's no way to recognize the crew quarters and possibly more rooms. I think the ship will make more sense once the furniture is in.
Shooting the radiators will likely not transfer heat into the ship, since it uses heat pumps to get the radiators to a higher temperature. All you could do is make it harder for the radiators to accept heat... wich would still be deadly, since the last thing you want on your ship is an overheating fusion reactor.
