First I would create characters within Fuse. Then I would add animations to them in Mixamo and finally add them to my game so that i can script them the way I want.
For example, if i did not like material and texture of one of them I would start all over.. create the character, add animation all over again. Yes it was so ridiculous! :D Then I found out that I could simply change the texture files from within material files. With the help of my girlfriend Irina Moroz we made changes all textures via photoshop and made them more interesting.
