Riser is a 3D-single-player game. By using energy units in a smart way, you can solve puzzles in 3D space. The background story will be revealed by video logs. These video logs are played by a German actor Dietmar Wunder (the German voice of Daniel Craig)
A man locked inside a gigantic spaceship, light-centuries away from human civilization. He rises from cryo-sleep only to find himself alone in a world of strange design that he cannot remember and must slowly learn to control. Searching for his missing crew mates and the love of his life he has to bring the ship‘s alien technology back to life.
Starting at the very bottom of the ship he somehow has to make his way to the ship‘s helm. He starts to climb a collossal tower towards the apex of the ship. On his way he must conquer pipe mazes, arrays of moving platforms, bubbles of antigravity and other challenges relying only on his speed, dexterity and intellect.
Climbing, he slowly regains his memories that were lost during his long, cold sleep and begins to understand the nature of the ship. This knowledge brings him not peace, but torment. Is the ship merely a giant alien trap? Is the man the last human being in the universe? What will he find at the bridge? His lost love? The answers to all his questions? Or certain death?
There is only one way to find out... up!
