Relíquia is a 2D, Top-down view, procedural generated open world sandbox game currently under development by one person. The game is projected to contain many deep survival gameplay mechanisms, (de)constructable terrain, base building (and defense), complex progression systems with pseudo-realistic electricity and network systems, matter, chemistry and atmospherics simulation. Relíquia doesn't aim at being a scary spin off of Space Station 13, but it is being fairly based on it. I intend on making this game on my own and i don't plan on implementing Multiplayer. I will eventually make a sequel with Multiplayer in mind, and when that sequel is done, I will release all source code and resources of this first installation. I also intend, but haven't planned, a third installation of either a 3D or layered 2D top-down version of the game.

For the past weeks, I have been intensely working on the base framework that will handle most systems in the game that will be featured very soon.

So, the Save/Load system is finally working. It has been quite a long task, but I have finally managed to do it. Since basically every class system (except UI) is made by me, I also had to make the save/load system to suit it. It is nowhere near to be perfect and it will have several changes and reworks throughout development. Currently, I have to think about a way to future objects that can link to others - this means, persist their references to those other objects, can't think of a good example as of right now for some reason.

The Load Game screen (After pressing

Tiles may contain objects or mobs, and those mobs and objects may contain other objects/mobs (no recurrence limits implemented nor planned for those). Yes, I am following some SS13 code concepts.

Basic interaction has been added. It is featured by right-click context menu and commands/actions like shown in the below GIF.

I intend on adding an output text box where everything shall be logged (eg. Examine texts and action feedback).

I will soon compile a list of TO-DO tasks and features (I currently only have them on my notebooks heh)

For now, I am going to work on adding the most basic objects and items, followed by the Game UI and player inventory system.

Thanks for reading and I hope this weak sneakpeek has stolen some of your attention and given some interest to you in return! Again, I am free to answer any questions about this little project of mine and debate about it.

DISCLAIMER: Current Font, Tile sprites and object sprites (currently only the tree) are not my property and are currently being used as simply informative and for testing purposes during this development stage. Character artwork was designed by my girlfriend who will also be helping out with most of the artwork in the future.
