Relíquia is a 2D, Top-down view, procedural generated open world sandbox game currently under development by one person. The game is projected to contain many deep survival gameplay mechanisms, (de)constructable terrain, base building (and defense), complex progression systems with pseudo-realistic electricity and network systems, matter, chemistry and atmospherics simulation. Relíquia doesn't aim at being a scary spin off of Space Station 13, but it is being fairly based on it. I intend on making this game on my own and i don't plan on implementing Multiplayer. I will eventually make a sequel with Multiplayer in mind, and when that sequel is done, I will release all source code and resources of this first installation. I also intend, but haven't planned, a third installation of either a 3D or layered 2D top-down version of the game.
So I started development on this a whole week ago. I have been working on some concepts and world generation mechanisms so quite frankly there is no eye candy imagery to show off, for now. Development time will be quite unpredictable, but i usually tend to make small breaks and I dedicate myself a lot to it.
Anyways, feel free to discuss whatever you feel like about this topic, i'd be glad to talk about it. Many future features are yet to be thought carefully.
For the past weeks, i have been intensely working on the base framework that will handle most systems in the game that will be featured very soon.
