You are Parker, a weary miner who works for the corrupt Ultor Corporation. You reside on Mars, sometime in the future, and when a plague spreads through the mining community, some of the Ultor employees uncover a massive conspiracy. Thus ensues a battle by a group of lowly workers, headed up by the educated Parker, to expose the deadly experiments Ultor has unleashed onto its work force.

To install this mod without destroying your game files, follow the tutorial on the Red Faction wiki: www.redfactionwiki.com/wiki/Installing_Clientside_Mods_(RF1) I highly recommend you use Dash Faction with this mod. Just going to add quickly that if you're using this upscale pack, I would 100% recommend applying the Dash Faction community-made patch for Red Faction. Without Dash Faction, RF doesn't properly handle large textures, and they'll appear to "flicker" constantly and look really awful. Dash Faction fixes this issue entirely, and you can enjoy the upscaled textures in peace. :)

Just downloaded this and was playing it in Dash Faction and I noticed that the hud is a bit messed up. The weapon select and the portraits from radio messages and such.

Any way to fix?

Yeah, portraits, ammo and weapon icons don't play well with higher size images. I took the textures starting with portrait_ and ws_ from the original packs and put them back into ai upscale packs using VPVIEW32 and VPPBUILDER32. I couldn't find ammo file names.

Here are the files I found. There are is one file which ends with _portrait. There may be more, didn't have time to search. You can place them in corresponding vpp files in VPPBUILDER32 to have normal portraits (the complete archive is too big, sorry).
