Before I get to the rules, I should mention why some hosts may have locked threads. If you see a server that has a locked thread, then that server has been correctly reported for abuse. For a more detailed explanation, read the server rules below.

If you're looking to post about a dedicated server on the forums, or you're interested in joining a public server, you'll need to follow these rules:

1) Public distribution of IP addresses. Distribution of IP addresses is perfectly fine, but the IP address you're distributing has to be for a device, or a service that you have the right to distribute the information of. In addition, you may distribute the IP addresses of those who have given you the consent to do so.

2) Abuse will not be tolerated. Abusing dedicated servers via bandwidth allocation, or other means, will not be tolerated(This goes for both sides), if your name, and/or IP address is reported as causing problems for two or more of the hosts on this board, you will be considered to be a part of the multiplayer blacklist. In addition, if a host is reported by a relatively large group of people as abusing power, they will be considered for being locked.

3) All server threads must state what version of the engine the server in question is running.

4) If you're running a server for a large period of time, we encourage you to state when the server will normally be running. This is 100% optional, however, it is more convenient for others.

If you have any questions about these rules, feel free to ask about it below.
