In the year 21XX, humble Bitcoin miners struggle to eke out a living while cults dedicated to various circa-2018 tech companies vie for supremacy across the post-apocalyptic wastes. A young woman explores what remains of a world ravaged by drone warfare, mass surveillance, climate change, and STEMlords. PLANNED_OBSOLESCENCE is a timely, surreal, and darkly funny visual novel about the near future. This page hosts a demo/prologue featuring the first 20-30 minutes of the prospective game (expansion contingent on general interest). There are six endings - make sure to collect all the DATA you can. FEATURING: Cryptic pseudo-religious organizations dedicated to all of your favorite Silicon Valley entrepreneurs! Weird art and music cobbled together haphazardly from public domain and Creative Commons-licensed sources across the internet!
