I must admit that this picture doesn't encourage me to try this game. The blocky characters, the weird poses, and the smudged bitmaps are all turn-offs.
Eh, they look passable to me. (Though what is the leftmost dwarf even doing, lol, it looks like he fell over and he can't get up. I assume that's the dwarven rest animation, though it looks more like they copypasted it from another race and didn't account for the body type.)
