Pelagium Origins makes turn-based strategy straightforward and approachable. Choose one faction from the diverse scenarios and jump directly into fast-paced and intense campaigns. Let your units explore the scenic islands and expand your territory. Compose a flexible army and counter your opponents' attacks. Distribute your troops so that they make use of the terrain and and optimally support each other. Will you take the right decisions to capture the strategic key positions and finally prevail over the opposing forces?

History

Am I the only grown-up former gamer who misses the simplicity and pureness of early turn-based strategy games? From time to time I'd like to play such a game but don't want to mess around with setting up a DOS emulator and then end up with disenchanting my sweet memories.

Whereas many current titles put me off with their sheer installation size, intrusive game store clients, log-ins, subscriptions, nagging pop-up notifications, or even in-game purchases.

Also I am not interested in explicit violence, military kitsch, comic style, or retro pixel art. I just want a clean and straightforward interface that allows me to experience the essence of pure strategic gameplay.

I could not find anything fitting this description, so I had to write this game myself, alone. Here it is. Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to the scenic islands of Pelagium!
