Shield Damage: as long as your shield is up - absorbed damage is recognized by a flickering effect.
Shield is recoverable as long as your regenerator unit is working.
Hull is absorbing the rest of the damage... or not.

(we are not sure at this point wether atmosphere will influence the ship handling)
