Configuration:
1) Change the game CD key. This one is important. While OpenSpy does not check the validity of your key, gameservers check its format and uniqueness.

The key format is the following:

xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Where x is a number or a letter, like in
3875-f802-f704-1d3e

You can use random letters and numbers but mind the format.

2) Some servers require PK++ installed. PK Lite already have PK++ 1.3 in its package. So run the game via PK++ shortcut (It's called 'Play PK++ Mod' if you ran 'Updater.exe' from the data folder) is highly recommended for a multiplayer. Or run it via PKPlus1.3.bat

To run PK++, create a shortcut with the following property:

C:\...\Painkiller_1.64_Lite\Bin\Painkiller.exe -lscripts pkplus.pak

Alternatively, run Updater.exe in the data folder. It'll create all the shortcuts automatically.

3) Some servers have custom maps and have passwords. So join Painkiller discord to ask people around:

To connect to a hidden server, type `/connect ip:port` in the in-game console or find them under the Favourite tab.

6) To change Warmup time:
Modify
Cfg.WarmUpTime = 0
in \Bin\config.ini

7) Set maxfps 125 in console for consistent physics:
/setmaxfps 125
