Some clarifications of the game’s scope, what we have been up to since our last post and a sneak peek at what’s ahead.

At New Year's Eve, we posted our 2011 retrospective and our first Letter of Ovelia. Since then, we kept up the pace with one new entry in the Letters series every week. It's been great seeing so many people getting interested in the world we're building, and we've cheered for every new comment and every new follower.

As you may have noticed, we have been a bit quiet these last two weeks. This is because we're pouring as much time as possible into the development of the game, and it has advanced quite a bit in the last few weeks. Over the coming months, we'll keep our updates to a series of fewer but bigger splashes of cool content showing you the development of the game as it progresses.

We'd also like to clarify a question of scope. We're aiming for a short but sweet game focusing on a few characters during a specific time and place, to make what's in there the best it can be. This all ties in with the letters, which have shown part of the bigger world that sets the stage for the game, and they will make their mark on the setting and story of the game.

Looking ahead we plan to talk more about the gameplay and the tools we are using to build the game, and as much as we'd like to do that right now these topics really deserve posts of their own. So we'll take on gameplay first - how about as soon as next week! We're already looking forward to telling you about it! Stay tuned!
