Online Multiplayer is BACK! You can now play Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising ONLINE!

GameRanger is an alternative to Tuungle, which was shut down a few years back. It can be used to enable internet multiplayer in OF:DR!

Codemasters shut down their online multiplayer servers for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising only 3 years after it's lauhch, much to the dismay of it's players. Well, that is no longer an issue! GameRanger is something I found while searching for Tuungle alternatives, which allows people to play games that have had online multiplayer servers shut down to use the game's LAN fearutes to play online. You can create and join servers, add friends, and have fun! I believe it only works on WIndows though, but I'm not sure if the multiplayer features are still functional on Xbox/PS3, it is still supported up to the Xbox Series X/S so it might use Xbox Live servers instead. Might be something that templargfx or one of the other OFDR modders might be able to figure out.

Download GameRanger at Gameranger.com. There is a list of supported games on their website.

If you'd like to play with me sometime, drop me an email at noahsdom@gmail.com and we can arrange something.

Hope all you Rising Dragons have fun with this!

P.S. you can use the OFDR Reddit or the comments on this page to arrange something with each other: Reddit.com

Hello Noah Domingues,

How can you configue the match of DR in Gameranger. I am trying to create a match with frends but it is impossible to launch correctly, we don't see servers and match.
Could you upload a little tutorial about how create a match?
Thank you for your time!

Best regards,
DTG

Hey there, just seen your comment! I'm currently on my phone so don't have access to GameRanger and don't quite remember how to do it off the top of my head, but when I'm next at my PC I'll take a look and run some steps by you. As long as you haven't figured it outvalready of course!

Best wishes, N
