Admirals, welcome to the Refit Dock building. Here you can refit your ships using this facility while the Shipyard continues to construct ships. Once the shipyard has finished, it's assigned build and ship is launched. The newly constructed ship may be finished off in the Refit Dock if you wish to free up the Shipyard for your next build! You will need to build the ship’s hull and certain components in the shipyard first though.
Weapons, engines, armour and other modules can be prefabricated in their respective facilities and transferred to the Refit Dock complex for storage. Components can then be fitted to the assigned ship as required. Components removed from a ship can either be recycled or placed in storage for later use on any suitable ship.
Refit times will be one quarter of the original construction time of the component being fitted (subject to small changes during testing).
The Refit Dock is an auxiliary sea based building, its design reflecting the need for a ship to enter at one end and with the view that the water is pumped out to leave the ship dry inside.
Upgrade your Refit Dock to refit larger ships and component fit-outs! You can also plan your builds and refits in advance in the Refit Dock.
This is an important building Admirals, so protect it well and schedule your refits to ensure that you build and fit out your ships in the most efficient manner!
