Natural Selection 2: Combat is a first-person team-oriented multiplayer shooter developed by Faultline Games and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. Players fight for either the Trans-System Federations (TSF) Space Marines or the Alien species known as the “Kharaa”, with both sides having a completely different set of lifeforms and abilities. The marines rely heavily on an array of high-tech ranged weaponry and mechanised armor, while the aliens rely on stealth, speed and strength. Additionally, aliens can evolve from a small but nimble and dangerous creature into one of five life-forms with unique abilities. NS2: Combat features intense two asymmetric teams in a fast-paced fight for survival, implemented using the beautiful Spark engine.

Description

- Marine Survival Tips -

If you’re playing as the Marines, you will be relying on ranged weapons, so try to fight enemies with as much distance as possible. However, if an enemy does get within melee range, strafing or jumping to your sides will give you a decent chance to survive since it is much faster than backing up. Also, be careful when traveling through doorways or dark areas, as enemies could be waiting in ambush.

- Alien Survival Tips -

If you’re playing as the Aliens, you will start the round as the basic alien life form called a Skulk; who can bite enemies, use a special parasite ability to track enemies through walls and also run and jump along walls to get into tricky locations. Because of your short range, it is best to avoid rushing an enemy head on, instead try to sneak around quietly and ambush enemies from above or the sides in order to land your attacks more easily. Keep in mind that attacking or using abilities will consume energy which slowly regenerates itself, your energy is displayed as a ring at the bottom right of your screen.
