The Dark Angel is falling down on the Galaxy known as NIKRA, billions of light-years away, infecting creatures and whole planets. Humans think they're alone, they are now, but 5000 years ago; they certainly were not. NIKRA was the first galaxy in our Universe, it held some of the most intelligent beings. Creatures who eat metal, mouth-less plant-lizard beings, monsters made of stone, and even the odd animal who stands in the clouds.
