As of right now, there's hardly any point in having two of the same arm equipped unless it's a stat boost. Having two arms that can Slice, for instance, doesn't really help all that much. So why not let two of the same ability combine to create a different one? Blade Flurry: 2x Slice. Rapidly slices for a short time. And so on. |

I like the idea a lot, but what about if you have MANY of the same part? For instance, Drill dash x 3, 4, 5, etc. (I think 6 might be possible also...) Heck, if they really wanted they could make it so that 3+ of an ability gives you a special "ultimate" attack/ability related to that skill in addition to the boosted skill you get, and the more abilities you have the more effective that ultimate is. For instance, drill rush would be 2x drill dash, and say "Drill Blitz" could be the ability related to three drill dash abilities. Any more drill dash abilities would increase the power and/or duration and/or recharge rate of "Drill Blitz" I feel all of these could work out really well too. Considering the first boss has four drills or so, it'd be a good way to introduce the players to abilities involving multiples of the same part. So if I wasn't clear, I'd love to see something involving multiple parts being an advantage. It'd also make some of the enemy megacs a little tougher, and a little extra difficulty is always welcome in my books. |

Perhaps having multiple copies of the same ability would provide bonuses to that ability's damage, attack speed, or range to name a few? For example, 2X Slice creates a wider, longer-ranged slice? Or 2X Pound causes the user's fist to transform into a bigger hammer head, with more power and reach? The copy system from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is the 1st example that comes to mind, where it's possible to combine 2 abilities to form a new, more powerful ability. |
