Lost Gateways is an Isometric open world exploration RPG, combining elements from a variety of games such as minecraft, zelda, you name it. Along with the survival element of needing to eat and drink. Right now Crafting, Harvesting, and many other features are fully functioning in game.

Graphics engine rewrite, added Stamina and Dash Mechanic.

Since the last update here on Indiedb I've been working on a complete rewrite of the graphics engine to allow for much better scrolling and a ton of performance fixes I was planning on adding.

With that I had to re-add most of the games features and along the way I've been doing improvements and everything is turning out pretty good!

I am seeing about double the fps on average while in game which leaves me much more room for pathfinding, AI, more particles for spells, etc etc.

Here is a screenshot showing the new stamina bar:

You can now Dash by holding down the shift key, it makes you run at double your current speed, and drains your stamina.
Beware when you regen stamina you gain hunger and thirst at double the speed!

I think I might also make harvesting and fighting use stamina depending on how it feels in gameplay.

Here is what is left to implement to get back to where I was:
- NPC’s
- NPC Spawners
- Class Selection
- Skill Display (In Progress)

And after all of this is re-implemented I can get back to working on combat mechanics and get the game functioning and get a few pre-alpha testers to give me some feedback on the gameplay.
