A free-roaming squad based RPG. Focusing on open-ended gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a mercenary, a business owner, a doctor, a bandit... the list goes on. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.
There's going to be 3 different bumpmaps for your characters. They get blended as needed, the middle one will be for weak/fat and puny characters, thats how you start out. The left will be for the strongest characters. And those in between will get a blend between the two extremes. The one on the right will be for characters that are starving or unhealthy, such as slaves and desperate bandits.
Woohoo, that's some great technical progress.
way to go man! Keep it up, I'll be cheering you on all the way!
yay... updates are good.
Your efforts will be rewarded in the end :3
Steam and a ton of fans will choke you with truckloads of cash if you keep working on this.
Nice
These are awesome, but I would like to make a small suggestion. As a former wrestler who has some experience with being unhealthy (it's not fun or pretty), the starving character's face looks far too healthy and full. If someone is famished and dehydrated one of the first tells is that their face will become gaunt and their eyes will look hollowed. Other than that, these are all stellar. ;)
Thanks, I forgot about that!
And don't forget the necks too...sometimes people also forgot to draw the neck musles diefference between thin, fat and heavily muscled. Seemed strange for someone to be muscular with scrawny necks. Same goes with the back of the hands and top of the legs near the toes. May seem too much detail but it makes it more lifelike and dramatic.
And where's a fat dude to be blended in? :)
That will be done with bone scaling, its not needed in the bump map.
Nice work for sure.
Love this!!!
Maybe you could implement fatness in the game. If your character eats a lot and doesnt run or move a lot ( for the vendor type of player) they would get fat. Just to make it more realistic
