Just Cause is a third-person "sandbox" video game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. It was released on September 22, 2006 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2 platforms in Europe. It arrived in North America on September 27, 2006. The fictional area explored during the game is described as being over 250,000 acres (1024 kmĀ²) in size, with 21 story missions and over 300 side missions to complete. Story Just Cause is set on a fictional Caribbean tropical island called "San Esperito", where the player works as CIA black ops agent Rico Rodriguez in a guerrilla war to overthrow San Esperito's dictator, who may be in possession of weapons of mass destruction.[2] The game draws its premise (and name) from the real-life United States invasion of Panama, code-named "Operation Just Cause", which involved United States military action to overthrow military leader Manuel Noriega.

Just Cause on the PC, seemingly, was ported from the OG Xbox version. Meaning it looks MASSIVELY worse than the 360 version and its far superior lighting system. Not to mention it's quite glitchy, I got stuck in game geometry a few times! Too bad, it could have been fun otherwise. So get the 360 version or play something else.

This is a very good game that I initially played on PS2, then later on PC. Personally, I found the PC version to play better.

There is a very good variety of vehicles and weapons, and the map is particularly large - which is good because there is more to explore, but is also not so good because there will be large areas with nothing in particular to find there.

The game also has more than a few bugs. I found that there were more game-killing bugs on the PS2 version than on PC, but this could have just been down to luck.
