The game has been available for two weeks already, and it seems that we released it just yesterday... So here are some of our observations. It would be fun to have them compared to the statistics of other games.
Observation 1.
The biggest part of the revenue was brought by the players from the USA. We love you, guys! Russia is on the second place. At that, American players are natural for Steam, and as for Russian players – we tried to attract their attention by different means.
Conclusion: we should be USA-oriented, as well as pay more attention to Germany and the UK. These countries follow Russia on the list.
Observation 2.
Wish list is a foreign beast. More than one thousand players would like to have our game. However, conversion from wish list to purchases is lame in both legs. Steam reports a small percent and adds that our result is, in average, ineffective. Did anybody encounter this?
Observation 3.
1000 views of the game will presumably result in 6 purchases. So in our opinion this is not bad. We just need to attract visitors. This, as they say, is a completely different story.
Feel free to share your opinion and experience.
And as the conclusion I want to share our new video - it explains Just Bones storyline.
@Observation 2 - time of holidays, my friends. People are busy of travel, relax, etc. Also they prefer spend money for beer in hot, summer days than for games. Probably it will change in Septmeber :)
@Observation 3 - some view could be randomly or people saw it at different pages. There is many ways to see this game but it does not mean every watcher is interested :)
Also my propostion - realase demo. It could help
Sad I am not able to buy - yet I am in use of XP :(
Thanks! @Observation 2 - Yep, and besides there's a summer sale
@Observetion 3 - Of course, but I've tried to figure out some conversion statistics.
