Alexander. Hannibal. Caesar. These great men and dozens like them shaped the destiny of a continent. Mighty kings, clever generals and would-be gods made their mark on the ancient Mediterranean. Around this sea, close knit nations tested their mettle and virtue against each other in fierce combat, their cultural and political legacy now inseparable from what we understand as Western Civilization. But nothing was guaranteed. Can you change the course of history in Imperator: Rome?

I own the game since a month after the horrible release. It was full of bugs, terrible mechanics, more emphasis in stupid mana points and everything felt boring. 2 years after, specially after the 2.0 update, I enjoy it more than vanilla eu4. The pop system in something in between vic2 and abstractions you can find in other paradox games. It's not fair to give it a 10 tho, lots of work left and they already released a mechanic (great wonders) under a paywall

Great game and very challenging depending of what are your goals for your chosen country and, surely, which country you start with.
