Hypostasis is a metroidvania (yes, another one) that aims to have:

• A compelling and meaningful story, complex and interesting characters, and an air of mystery and wonder.
• Secrets to explore and skeletons to smash. Everything in life could use more of those.
• An atmosphere steeped in the liminality between the psychedelic esotericism of dreams and the grotesque profundity of reality. I'm not sure that sentence actually means anything.
• Pixels of some description.
• A soundtrack that I've poured my soul into. Good riddance.
• A jump button. Maybe even two jump buttons.
• Hand-made, artisanal levels made from organically grown grids and free-range tiles.
• The approval of the elder gods.
• The same lighthearted, carefree sense of fun that The Cure had in 1982.
• A cynically implemented love triangle where two cute boys engage in pissing contests for possession of your naughty bits. No, not really.
• Taken risks despite working within the confines of a well-worn genre.
