I thinking about a Heretic "remake". I want to new weapons, episodes, monsters and new engine. I thinking about a new heretic like Ultimate Doom to Doom Ethernal. What engine we need to try? Source, Unity, Unreal engine, ID tech 6? I am a hungarian guy and I started learning in programmer highschool in 2019. I hope my idea is good enough to make it.

There are plenty of good engines for game development, unreal has many assets, godot is completely free and unity is a bit in between, i'd recommend not doing games based completely on heretic and hexen to avoid copyright issues, but something blatantly inspired by it should be fine and even better (since the lore was kind of unexistent to begin with)
