TSC:E PBR Weapons for the Halo 3 Editing Kit
INTRODUCTION:
This is TheChunkierBean's port of the The Evolved Team's updated Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle for use with the H3EK.
CONTENT:
This download includes the Physically Based Rendering (or PBR) versions of the Assault Rifle and
Sniper Rifle from the The Silent Cartographer: Evolved mod for Halo: Custom Edition. Each weapon uses Halo 3's new PBR shader, which uses a more accurate
real-world lighting model. This download also includes the first-person animations for each respective model. The weapons are purely visual implementations,
no additional balancing or gameplay tweaks have been made with them. These weapons also do not include equipment throw animations at this time.
IMPORTANT INFO:
You WILL need the Halo 3 shader compiler fix for these weapons to render correctly. You can download and follow the instructions here:

INSTRUCTIONS:
Put the folder named "tags" in your H3EK folder.
The contents of the folder will automatically be placed correctly.
The default location of the H3EK is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\H3EK
The Assault Rifle is located in:
H3EK\tags\cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\assault_rifle\_assault_rifle_new
The Sniper Rifle is located in:
H3EK\tags\cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\sniper_rifle\_sniper_rifle_new
To replace the existing Assault Rifle and/or Sniper Rifle from Halo 3 with these new tags, you will need to do the following:
Open the weapon tag for the respective weapon. The default location for Halo 3's Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle are:
H3EK\tags\objects\weapons\rifle\assault_rifle.weapon
H3EK\tags\objects\weapons\rifle\sniper_rifle.weapon
Navigate to the First Person section of the .weapon tag and replace the model and animation files with the one's from the
FP folder for the respective weapon:
cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\assault_rifle\_assault_rifle_new\fp\fp.render_model
cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\assault_rifle\fp\fp.model_animation_graph
cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\sniper_rifle\_sniper_rifle_new\fp\fp.render_model
cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\sniper_rifle\_sniper_rifle_new\fp\fp.model_animation_graph
Save each .weapon tag. Now to replace the third person models, open the .model tag:
H3EK\tags\objects\weapons\rifle\assault_rifle.model
H3EK\tags\objects\weapons\rifle\sniper_rifle.model
And replace the .render_model at the top with the new .render_model:
H3EK\tags\cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\assault_rifle\assault_rifle_new.render_model
H3EK\tags\cmt\objects\weapons\_shared\sniper_rifle\_sniper_rifle_new.render_model
You should now see the TSC:E weapons in H3 Sapien!
