Steam key Thread - Guncraft

will we get a Steam key once the game is greenlit if we purchased it here?

I hope, i purchased the game here, and vote for it in greenlight, and finally today is greenlit, so i expect my key to play on steam whit frineds !

I also have this question, im not sure, but i think the same was promised

Steam keys will be sent to the email addresses tied to your game accounts when we release on Steam which will be later this summer.

The Desura version is out of date and nobody is playing it. Time to hand out the Steam keys, Desura. According to the developer, you have already received the Steam keys from them. So, wtf's up with the hold up and lack of communication?

Yes really wtf is that? I only bought Guncraft on Desura because they still had the pre order bonuses. But if I knew that this platform sucks so much i would have not bought it here. Plus it is outdated i mean WTF at least update it. Well it wouldnt bother me that much if they at least gave us some information but they did not -.-'. I will never ever support this stupid platform again. NEVER!

But thats not all the god damn forum is even dead. Man i am pissed now i better stop here before i write sth that i regret later.

Yeah I'm a little pissed, I've been following this game for a while and have purchased it, and now it's came out on steam, it seems like we have been left in the dirt since we are now outdated and it is impossible to play this game online right now. Please remedy this either with steam keys or an update. It's only fair that all of your playerbase have the ability to play the game they have paid for.

What everyone else has said +1. Kinda annoyed right now :/

I'm not sure what the hold up is but 1.71 should be on Desura soon - we are waiting for them to approve it...

As DarkNuke says the keys are with Desura - I dont know how they appear in your account but I suspect the weekend may have been the cause of the delay. So since its Monday now I hope all will sort itself out real soon

And my apologies FWIW - I cant personally make it any faster but I agree I would be annoyed too.

I got when it was pre-order on desura, i have too the skins given to users who bought the game when it was pre-order.

Also i voted it on Steam Greenlight but i haven´t received yet the steam key.

It just seems that Desura ain´t giving us the keys that we deserve, as Exato Games said we would receive...

The other part that is bothering me is the lack of response from them, this is a digital store...

before this game was on steam I was all like "I can't believe people think ace of spades is better than guncraft like onslaught mode is so ridiculously awesome as well as everything else"

Saw your post over in Steam... You are right we totally forgot these forums. Appreciate the reminder.

Here's the skinny.

We have no clue who has or has not purchased the game on Desura/Steam or any other distribution service - for obvious reasons they do not share that with us. For equally obvious reasons we cant give a steam code to anyone who asks in support forums.

Desura, GMG and others were given a set of steam keys and they are supposed to put them in your account - I believe this URL should give it to you. Indiedb.com

As long as you purchased from them before August 9th you are due one. If you got a Desura code from elsewhere (e.g. traded or purchased a Desura code outside Desura) then the person who purchased that code has the key.

So if you are eligible then their support is the way to go Indiedb.com Are you not getting replies at all or are they saying you are not eligible.

We are still supporting Desura - we have a desura specific build that goes out at exactly the same time as the steam and Exato builds.

Also you say Desur crashes every time - I cant give you steam keys but I can try to help you solve that.

1. When does it crash? Do you see any UI at all
2. Do you see the crash dialog that asks to send the crash log to us? Are you sending them in?
2. Would you be ok with installing a custom verion with more logging to help - email me (andy@exatogames.com) if so. I also added you on steam (TheZManiac) if you would prefer to chat that way

The key on the link you gave me is not valid.

I was promised a Steam key when I bought the bundle, so please give me one.

What bundle? If you purchased the BeMine 8 bundle then your steam key is in your BeMine account not in your Desura account.

If you purchased from Desura (and didn't just get a Desura code from someone) then contact their support about the bad key. Does it say its bad or used?
