1. Player dynamics changed – I think that is the most important change. now it’s easier to move the character because it has reduced inertia.
2. Xbox 360 controller support – the game can be played with Xbox gamepad. Unfortunately I managed to implement this feature only on Windows.
3. Rebindable keyboard keys – this potentially was an issue for non qwerty keyboard users. Of course they could always play with arrow keys, but I can imagine that could be uncomfortable. Now it’s fixed.
4. Puzzles are now slightly changed to be more intuitive.
5. Steam achievements added.I also added possibility to purchase Grimind with Bitcoin. I will see if this is worthwhile, now I’m processing all Bitcoin payments manually. If you know better ways to accept bitcoins or automate it somehow, let me know. Check it out on www.grimind.com
It's a very hard and cruel game, but I must finish it :)
Good luck :)
At what chapter are you currently?
I'm almost at the end. Fortunately youtube exists and I didn't stuck in certain part for weeks :)
Hi. I'm on Debian GNU/Linux. I had to set the executable permission on desura/common/grimind/Grimind and desura/common/grimind/x86/griming.x86, then install libsmpeg0 package so that the game runs. Running Desura demo.
Same here, had to set executable permissions manually to get it work on Debian Wheezy.
This has to be fixed by packaging the game with saving the permissions.
Hi. Game demo does not start:
openSUSE 12.2 x86_64
1. form desura client it says its 32-bit game
2. from term ./desura_launch_Play.sh says "access denied"
3. chmod +x grimind.x86_64 and ./grimind.x86_64 says: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::string'
ok, I think last error due system stdc++ lib
Downloaded demo from site and now it runs, but with wrong resolution, is there any way to change it?
fix by edit config.txt
Not sure why so many hacks are needed, but glad you got it working. It should run right after running "Grimind" bash script in top of the game folder. Script checks if the system is 32 or 64 bit, sets path to dynamic libraries and then runs correct binary.
