Grey Hack is a really awesome game. It's still in development but I have hundreds of hours of play.

The missions are not (yet) as exciting as some of those in Uplink, and there is not (yet) an overarching story like in Uplink or Hacknet. But the game is still in development, and it wouldn't be fair to expect all of this just yet.

The player environment has a Linux GDE feel to it, and many of the commands are borrowed from Unix, although with much simpler parameters. Some knowledge of Unix is a real asset for the player, but I should think it far from a requirement.

What really makes Grey Hack stand out is the multiplayer element, where users can run their own servers, create their own websites, and attempt to compromise each other's activities.

There is a lot more that I would hope to see from Grey Hack in the long run, but it is still in active development, with regular updates coming out, and new features in the pipeline. For now, I am quite content, especially given the low price tag (excellent value for money).
